Welcome to
Carisbrook School 2018
Carisbrook School is a
co-educational school and provides quality teaching and learning to students
from Year 1 through to Year 8. Carisbrook will create a safe, caring and
respectful environment where students feel a sense of belonging and where
positive relationships are valued.
Carisbrook School’s is a modern learning environment and construction and refurbishment was completed in 2014. The modern learning environment provides a stimulating, light and bright atmosphere for our students to learn in.
Carisbrook School is an
amazing educational facility that assists us in providing the best of
opportunities for our students to excel in their learning. Our staff are highly skilled, enthusiastic
and focused on the accelerated learning of our students.
Our supporting Board of
Trustees ensures that we have the resources to provide not just quality
education within our school environment but also a diverse range of learning
opportunities in the wider environment that Carisbrook School students benefit
from.
We pride ourselves on the opportunities we provide
our students at Carisbrook School. We offer a wide range of opportunities in sports, outdoor education, information technology, clubs and the arts including performing arts. In the 2018 performing
arts programme we will be providing opportunities for students to participate
in a wide variety of the arts including; Kapa haka, Pasifika performance, dance
performance clubs, choir, and some musical instrument playing.
Carisbrook Kapa haka and Carisbrook Pasifika performance operates for the full school year and not simply as a
build up to the Otago Pasifika Performance.
For Outdoor Education
Carisbrook School provides the opportunity for all students to participate in a
camp experience from Year 1 through to Year 8.
Our senior students attend a ‘leadership camp’ as well as having the
opportunity to attend a ski camp. At year six level our students have the opportunity to be part of the Singapore Cultural Exchange when they reach year eight level. This involves a lot of fundraising on their part. The Singapore Cultural Exchange 2018 will be the third group of Carisbrook students to benefit from this opportunity.
At Carisbrook School we
are proud to offer a wide variety of additional programmes aimed at assisting,
extending and supporting our students and we employ specialist reading, writing
and maths teachers who provide both learning support and extension
opportunities.
Carisbrook School is
well stocked with the most up-to-date resources and equipment including
interactive whiteboards, laptops and i-pads amongst other ICT equipment.
Our Values are Respectful, Responsible and Resilient and we have a focus on positive behaviour fort learning.
Each Carisbrook pupil
will be challenged and encouraged to reach their full potential or beyond, in
the best learning environment possible.
